Little Ship Club is well-known for a relaxed and friendly welcome and warm hospitality in an idyllic setting. Whether you are just visiting for the day - on your boat or someone else's - or have the luxury of lingering a little longer, LSC can be a magical place indeed.

Collect your meal from the bistro servery and your drink from the bar, choose a spot from our range of indoor and outdoor seating areas, settle back and enjoy the good food, great company and truly magnificent panorama of the One Mile and Moreton Bay from our lush, sub-tropical grounds.

Your view of the (hopefully!) sunlit, sparkling waters and ochre sandbanks is framed by swaying palm trees, flanked by tall pines, stands of eucalypts and clustered mangroves. Straddie's abundant birdlife provides both the background sounds and the occasional flash of bright colours, as rainbow lorikeets swoop between the trees in a blur of excited screeches and chatter.  Not that any of that is likely to stir our resident koala, who might half open one eye from the somnolent perch of the branches behind the BBQ area before returning to the more pressing business of having a nap.

Our onsite managers and staff have a wealth of information about Straddie, the fascinating history of Dunwich and plenty of suggestions for interesting things to see and do on the island, during your time away from mainland Australia. Want to talk boats and tides or pick up some fishing tips on when and where to dangle a line? You will doubtless find some colourful characters to have a yarn with (even if they may not share all their secrets about the best catch!).

Here's a tip: the Sunday of our regular Fishing Club competition weekends is a prime time to savour the anticipation of the weigh-in, and see what our keen anglers of all ages have been able to score.

After lunch, enjoy a lazy walk through the tombstones of the 19th and 20th centuries in the pretty cemetery and park at the rear of the Club, and continue your stroll along Bingle Road into Dunwich. Or, if even that seems like too much effort, kick back on one of our sunlounges and just watch the water taxis and boats come and go. That burst of activity should set you up nicely for sundowners of the liquid and visual kind - you have our commiserations if you need to reboard your bus or return ferry before being able to take in the sensational vista of our Moreton Bay sunset.

But that's a good reason to come and visit LSC again!

Many of our first-time day-trippers and visitors are hooked and enquire about membership so they may more fully enjoy our Club facilities on future visits. Others discover they have found the perfect spot for their wedding, reception, next family get-together or business function.
